On the recommendations of Institute of Marine Engineers (India), representatives of D.G. Shipping , visited Goa and inspected all the facilities , and approved the course. The SITEG , then shaped a nodal body referred to as ‘ The Institute of Maritime Studies ‘, headed by a Director, WHO may be a Senior applied scientist having immense expertise on board further as in senior positions on land in shipping connected organizations. therefore the Institute of Maritime Studies was born. The Technical Cell of Institute of Marine Engineers (India) , give necessary steering for preparation in fact details, and lesson set up, for room and sensible coaching. The Institute of Marine Engineers (India), continues to play a task within the matters of IMS, as a member of the Governing Council.

Orsat Apparatus, Bomb Caloriemeter, Redwood Viscometer, Flash point apparatus, Tutor models of air conditioning unit, Refrigeration units. Models of Boilers, Diesel engine test rig, 2 stage air Compressor test rig.
Material Testing Lab:
Universal testing machine, Impact testing machine, Brinnel Hardness testing machine, Torsion testing machine, Ultrasonic flaw detector, Magnetic Crack detector, Dye penetrant Kit.

Diesel engine 275 HP Cylinder heads, Pistons and other engine parts, turbocharger, all types of valves, including quick closing valve, oil cooler, small steering unit , vulcan coupling etc. Fire fighting and life saving equipment.

Induction Motor tutor, Star Delta starters, Transformer, 3 phase loading Rheostat, Phase sequence indicator, Megger, Flux meter, DC compound motor for direct loading test, Cable testing & fault finding kit, Instrumental trainer kit, Digital IC function tester, Thermo couple test rig.

Oscilloscope, Logic probe, TV trainer, Pulse generator, auto transformer, linear IC trainer & test kit, Micro processor based system Simulator Software, Function generator, Pulse code modulation transmitter & receiver kits ,etc.
