Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies & analysis (HIMSAR) is that the initial Maritime instructional centre in jap Region providing Bachelor in shipping Science (degree) programmes Degree is awarded by West Bengal University of Technology, widely known in concert of India’s pre-eminent centres for Technology education. HIMSAR is devoted to delivering top quality Maritime education and coaching to organize its students for rewarding careers within the shipping trade.
HIMSAR offers degree, certification and different short term courses in shipping stream. The institute has been started by Indian Centre for Advancement of analysis & Education (ICARE) together with FMIRO (FOSMA Maritime Institute & analysis Education), Mumbai. The Institute is attached to West Bengal University of Technology for conducting three years B.Sc. nautical Science (BNS) and to indira gandhi nautical open university for conducting one year certification in nautical Science. It additionally conducts short term price else courses for deck officers as per the necessity of shipping corporations. It additionally conducts Dredge plebe course of Dredging Corporation of Asian country.
The institute is punctually approved by board General of Shipping (D. G. Shipping) and commissioned ISO 9001 – 2000 by yankee Quality assessors LLC and ranked by CRISIL. FACILITIES:
The institute is built in 10 acres self-contained campus having facilities for medical, post office, banking, ATM, canteen, grocery shop, Xerox and internet facilities. Academic block has 8 spacious classrooms , labs (physics, chemistry, computer) workshop (pneumatic, hydraulic, machine, carpentry, plumbing) and simulators for Radar, Arpa, Navigation and GMDSS. The lab and workshops are well-equipped. Labs and workshops of HIT is also used by our Cadets from time to time.
