FACILITIES:

Building:- Institute is housed in a multi story building on GST Road and is self contained in all respects. 

Classrooms:- Institute has got well equipped class rooms and library. Each classroom is equipped with LCD projectors / Audio Visual Aids etc. Class rooms are with the best ambience for training provided to students.
Institute has a tie up with a well known sports complex to train it’s students for swimming and boys are regularly taken to sports complex to train them in swimming.

Simulator Training:- Institution has a well equipped simulator for imparting real time training to cadets.

Hostel Facilities:- Hostel is provided in the campus and has excellent natural ventilation from all sides. Mess room and other dining facilities are provided. Students are looked after at the hostel at all times and vehicles are kept standby for any eventuality.

Institute has sufficient transportation means at it’s disposal for transportation of students from institute to ship visits which are being conducted regularly by the institute to give practical training to students. 

Faculty:- The faculty team comprises of Senior Master Mariners and Chief Engineers with wide range of expertise in marine industry at sea and ashore who use one of the most innovative and practical oriented methods in industry to train a young lad to become a professional sea farer.

Ship and Port visits/Practical training

The institute organizes maximum numbers of ship visits/boat rides to students to give more practical training.
Students have been taken to major ports like Chennai, Ennore and Karikkal for ship visits and a variety of ships like tankers and bulk carriers.
Curriculum is explained with the help of practical examples.

Placements:- The academy has a fully functional placement cell which offers and provide placement assistance to trainees who have successfully completed the course which they were undergoing. The Academy states that the successful completion of the course does not guarantee on board training, which is mandatory for employment..
